Google Storage: Refunds, renewals and cancellations

Print

Google storage purchases are non-refundable. The amount of storage you purchased is yours for the length of the subscription - one year. By default, this storage will auto-renew at the end of the year. You can change this setting at the time of purchase or at any time during the year. We'll send two reminder emails, both 30 and 3 days before the renewal charge. To opt out of the storage renewal, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://www.google.com/accounts/PurchaseStorage
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Your current plan will be highlighted in blue. Click the Change renewal settings link.
  4. Click Proceed to disable the auto-renewal. Your storage will then revert to the free Basic Plan on the expiration date.

No matter when you cancel your storage subscription, your extra storage will be available for the entire year you've purchased. After your plan expires, your storage will be limited to each individual product's free storage quota. Under our current policy, any content over the free storage quota will still be accessible, however you will not be able to add new content until your storage balance falls below the free storage limit.
