To export your photos to a piece of hardware (camera, card reader, external drive, etc.), your computer must recognize this hardware as a removable drive. Follow these steps to check:
- Connect your hardware to your computer.
- Double-click the My Computer icon on your computer desktop.
- If your media appears as a removable drive under My Computer, you'll be able to export photos to this hardware.
- Connect your hardware to your computer.
- Double-click the Computer icon on your computer desktop.
- If your media appears as a removable drive under Computer, you'll be able to export photos to this hardware.
- Connect your hardware to your computer. A mounted drive should display on your desktop acknowledging the hardware.
- If this doesn't happen, click the Finder icon in you Dock.
- In the left panel, your media should appear under the Devices menu allowing you to export photos to this hardware.

During the export process, be sure to choose your piece of hardware as the export destination.
